Peace everyone and thank you for supporting my business. Crown Luv was living room talk for years. Like many people who are embarking on a new journey, I was in my own way. My natural journey began almost 10 years ago when I was a freshman in college. One day I chopped all my hair off, that cut represented letting go of the feeling of  “not enough”. Growing up as a Brown Skinned girl with thick hair, my beauty was not equally represented in the media or in my community. Eventually I internalized this , wanting lighter skin and straighter hair. That girl followed me for years until I did the work to heal and walk in my truth. Anyway, I’m feeling all empowered right y’all, cut my hair off and all , but didn’t consider what this new journey meant. Yah girl was chasing that loose curl natural look , following every YouTube video tutorial and buying every new product on the market. Boy was I in for a rude awakening, let’s just say I had many hot mess twist out days, lol. Eventuality, I figured no one knew my hair like me and started making my own products. Now listen ,my fro responded like yesss sis , this is what we needed! I fell in love with me along this journey. Eventually I wanted to help people get through their process with clean and quality products, but I was so afraid (whew chile, ego is something), so I kept my gift to me, my close friends and family. During this time I became an OG at making products , so I locd my hair. Me locking my hair represented truly walking in my light and loving all of me. Being pregnant with my son a year later further empowered me. I realized that I needed to start a new journey of being me unapologetically. Whiled preparing to mother my son, I mothered myself and my shit (trauma). This looked like no longer accepting self-sabotage, getting out of my own way and honoring my gifts that God gave me. I was ready to show up me Unapologetically. All my work throughout my professional career has been centered around helping others, from social work to working with children. My vision with Crown Luv is to model being yourself unapologetically. It is my goal to show folks that you are allowed to defy societies norms, walk in your truth ,and make your own definition of what’s “beautiful “. Everything I do is for my son, he motivates me to get up and go. For him , I break generational curses and create wealth.
